Lake Havasu City was Founded in 1963 and incorporated in 1978. We have 6 elementary schools, 1 middle schools, 1 high school, Mohave Community College and Northern AZ University-Mohave 2 Plus 2 Partnership. The lake has 450 miles of shoreline, four city parks, 2 dog parks, performance arts center, eight lighted tennis courts and four golf courses. City! It is Paradise,(though a little hot sometimes). The City is situated
on a hillside overlooking the lake with majestic mountains surrounding it. The
mountains turn orange and purple, during our unbelievable sunsets.
Besides the beauty of Lake Havasu,
Laughlin, Nevada is only an hour away, Parker Arizona is thirty-five minutes
away, and you can be in the mountains above Kingman in a little over an hour
for a look at pine trees and a little cooler climate.
